The Monueal Headquarter Building | Jeju | South Korea | H Architecture
The Monueal Headquarter Building in Jeju, South Korea required a futuristic yet practical design that incorporated several programs and different phases of construction.
The unique program included office, research and development, testing facilities, and dormitories. The Jeju context involves a rich cultural heritage as well as a strict code to avoid hindering the image of the beautiful, unique landscapes of the island.
The design stems from analysing the modern sleek products of Monueal as well as the client’s vision of a circular ‘spaceship’ like form. The result is a building shell pivoting around a central outdoor space. Each building revolves around the central space, being planned and developed in phases. The radial form is connected by a Digital Gallery where occupants can experience the Monueal brand and image.......more

O2 Headquarters | Slough | United Kingdom | TP Bennet
The commission, won through a design competition, to design a new link building and heart for the O2 campus in Slough, drew on tp bennett’s strengths in architecture, interior design and planning. The project also included the fit-out of a newly-constructed office building and the refurbishment of an existing building. Though driven by the functional need to form a connection between these buildings, the link building has an identity of its own and provided an opportunity for O2 to reflect its brand values and to create an enjoyable and responsive workplace for 2,000 staff. The 63m long, three storey link block is deliberately sculptural in form and reflects the “bold, open, clear” brand......more

Swedbank’s New International Headquarters | 3XN
The new Headquarters will be one of Sweden’s most modern and innovative office buildings - focusing on transparency, Scandinavian simplicity and dynamic social environments. Behind the project is the Danish Architect 3XN in collaboration with Humlegården Fastigheter, representing the property owner Länsförsäkringar Liv. By the end of 2013 no less than 2.500 co-workers will move into the innovative building at Sundbyberg Stad near Stockholm. The Headquarters is designed by the Danish studio 3XN with direct reference to Swedbank’s core values; openness, simplicity, care and durability. 3XNs Principal Kim Herforth Nielsen explains:- The building is conceived and designed from the inside out. We have literally translated Swedbank’s core values into the creation of a modern and groundbreaking head office. Swedbank has conveyed the importance it places on creating an open social environment, which happens to coincide with 3XNs design beliefs and ideology. It has been a very interesting process and we look forward to getting to work on the project. With its innovative and transparent expression formed in an unconventional triple-v structure the building will become a landmark among Swedish office buildings. The large volume is broken up to create spaces on a human scale. This makes the building inviting on the inside as well as on the outside. The new head office is situated at Sundbyberg; a rapidly developing and dynamic traffic centre five kilometers outside the centre of Stockholm. 3XN is currently working on a number of other projects in and around Stockholm:- At the moment there is a really good energy in the Swedish building industry. We can also feel a great interest for Danish architecture as we are building a high rise residential building in Vällingby and we have other exciting projects on the way, says Kim Herforth Nielsen of 3XN.The construction of Swedbank’s new head office is expected to be finished by the end of 2013

Transforming the star. The pentagonal shape of the site for the ESC has seduced our design team to connect the corners of the site as to form an a-symmetrical 5 pointed star. By categorically lifting up two point of the star and leaving the third at ground floor level, we discovered a strong spatial image for the ESC. Braking the symmetrical rigidity of the communist red star, and replacing it by a set of 5 connected tetrahedron shaped pyramids, we transformed the star shape and gave it a new meaning.

Denizli Municipality,Denizli, Turkey | Superpool

The landscape of the Denizli Municipality Headquarters is designed as a series of public meeting spaces. In this landscape of urban interaction, the role of the building is to define a zone of enclosures; the main entrance, foyer, city parliament, auditorium, exhibition hall, and library.
These spaces of public representation are the ornaments of the building, which is intentionally kept simple in its mass; a 20 m wide bar optimized for office environments with natural light.
Thus the proposal is an attempt to create monumentality not through architectural detailing but through programming and exposure of the ‘ground’ level; the most accessible therefore important part of any building.
The aim is incorporating the life of the city’s most vital plaza with its most vital function, self-governing.

ARCA -Regler GmbH Tonisvorst, Germany | Anin Jeromin Fitilidis & Partner

The new building of the German company ARCA-Regler GmbH is situated along a former railway line amidst a residential topology, which bears the stamp of villages. It combines a production area of about 1600 sqm and an office area of about 500 sqm. The objective was to create a building - other than the usual industrial buildings with a mostly low-priced warehouse made of gas concrete - that is accepted in the (residential) neighborhood and at the same time emphasizes the company's identity through its formal language and ecological pretensions.
The required building floor of about 2100 sqm has been developed as two-story-high long building being molded out of the grassed area surrounding it. Like a wide belt the facade winds its way into the terrain. The front glass building houses the office premises whereas the metallic building behind accommodates the development and production rooms. A zone for staircase and sanitary facilities separates both building parts.
The facade of the management area is a double-skin where the outside glass skin with a printing degree of 55 % is designed to keep out solar radiation to a large extent. Since printing intensity varies and is the less at eye level, the office premises look extremely transparent and allow a good view outward. The zone behind the second glass skin is accessible and offers the employees all the year round a weatherproof zone for taking their breaks.
The demand of the building owner to use resource-saving energy sources for an industrial building is not self-evident at all. However, this new building is operated with regenerative energies, only. The entire cooling capacity and the largest fraction of heating capacity for the new building is supplied by a field of geothermal probes without the need of further energy expenses.
