Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art | Kansas, USA | Kyu Sung Woo Architects

Nerman Museum Of Contemporary ArtThe Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art is sited in Overland Park, Kansas. The 41,000 sf museum is dedicated to the contemporary arts and to public education and houses an extensive and growing art collection. The diagonal siting of the building marks the entrance to the suburban college and defines a front lawn for outdoor sculpture exhibits. Through its simple volumes and minimal materials the museum creates a connection to the expansive prairie landscape beyond. The program includes permanent and temporary galleries, a media gallery, café, multi-purpose lecture hall, administrative offices, and a glass atrium that provides a link to an adjacent technology center on campus.
