Art Gallery | Australian Centre for Contemporary Art | South Melbourne, Australia | Wood Marsh Pty. Ltd. Architecture






















The Malthouse Development forms a precinct with the existing Malthouse Building which houses the Playbox Threatres. The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Chunky Move and Playbox make up the user group's for the new building. The ACCA has four gallery spaces off an entry foyer with service areas and office space. Chunky Move comprises two rehersal studios and administration space and Playbox has a large set construction facility. A courtyard with amphitheatre is created at the centre of the overall complex with an outdoor exhibition space along the northern boundary.
