The Umbrella-Culver City, California-Eric Owen Moss Architects











The Umbrella was originally designed as an outdoor performance balcony for the “Green Umbrella,” an experimental concert series put on by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. The fundamental design intention was to provide an outdoor venue for a small number of muscians who would perform on the balcony for an audience seated below. The interior was designed to accommodate numerous different performance arrangements from multiple small venues to a 30 to 40-person orchestra. Eric Owen Moss Architects

Rotating Wind Shelters In Blackpool,UK









Following an open RIBA competitionMcChesneyArchitects were commissioned to design two rotating wind shelters for Blackpool’s newly regenerated South Shore Promenade. They will form part of a series of art works under the wider auspices of the Great Promenade Show

Bandstand In Durham, England











In October 2004 the McChesneyArchitects won an invited competition to design a new bandstand for the proposed Walkergate development in the city of Durham.

GC Canopy Ver.01-Elif Erdine Baskin





Elif Erdine Baskin is an architect and researcher. She received her Master of Architecture and Urbanism degree from the Architectural Association Design Research Lab (AADRL) in 2006. She received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Istanbul Technical University in 2003, graduating as the top 3rd of her class.

Since 2006, she has been working for ZAHA HADID Architects in London.

She is the co-founder of YME, a design research collaboration of young architects, actively pursuing theory and practice of architecture through research into applications of mathematics in design and fabrication.
