Museum Design | Taiwan Hakka Culture Museum | Taiwan | Maxthreads


Our design for Taiwan Hakka Culture Museum was inspired by the nature topography of Muilai Ton Lou mountain area and traditional Hakka social structure. The Hakka civilization has been strong adaptation to the new land at the same time balancing with nature. Design approach emphasis in the strong relationship between the museum and existing nature landscape topography.

Clustering museums gives an opportunity to intersect the nature landscape elements in between to create more intimate nature approach for the visitors. Blurring the boundary between in both artificial walls and nature, through a series of differentiated cladding component.

The facade creates dappled light, animated space, and it also controls and diffuses natural illumination which is crucial to the comfort of exhibition space and other functional spaces......more
