When we think of rituals often we think of marital rites, Christmas, Sunday dinner, etc. These are things that mark significant moments or events that reoccur in our lives. What we less often refer to as ritual are the daily events that perpetuate through the weeks. A morning run or cup of coffee, brushing your teeth, a restroom break, these daily rituals often vary from person to person. This project takes the idea of a mundane daily ritual which school aged children around the globe participate in, waiting in the lunch line, and attempts to elevate the progression and animate the experience of waiting which all of us, young and old, must do.......more
