Bridge Design | Parkway Iconic Bridge | Edgley Design

The concept for the scheme is to create a pair of surfaces, intertwined to create a deep structure which acts like a beam, allowing a large span to be formed out of relatively light materials.The bridge is formed around the trajectory of a horse or bicycle along its upper surface, forming a gentle arch, and around the trajectory of the pedestrian to the lower surface, forming an intricate path for the footbound explorer. The bridge would be welded out of corten steel plates, to create a solid surface.
