"Our proposal for the SouthBank Spier Estate Competition Site is an acknowledgement of the rich agricultural landscape of the South African Eerste River Valley in the Boland District of Western Cape Province, specifically of the Stellenbosch region, and the growth of the phenomenon of “eco-tourism” both within this region and worldwide. Combining growing interest in environmental awareness with recreational leisure is at interest here. Creating a sustainable “new community” while promoting stewardship of the land is at the heart of our proposal."KONYK
