Danish architectural firm Schmidt Hammer Lassen recently won the competition to design a hotel and conference center in Lund, Sweden. The building will be located at the city's highest point, providing a new architectural icon for the city. The building has also been designed with sustainability in mind. the project's energy consumption is about 20-25 less than comparable projects. Stylistically the building gives a nod to the openness and daylight exposure, typical of scandinavian architecture.
