Architect's Text:
The project 'museum of modern art' in Warsaw was created for an international architect competition. It was done together with Anderzej Owczarek from NOW sp. z o.o. The building of the forthcoming 'museum of modern art' is planned to be built in a very prestigious place in the capital city- Plac Defilad in front of Pałac Kultury i Nauki. The designed object, apart from its main function to host exhibitions, houses: auditoriums, bookshop, library, restaurants, caffes, offices and many more. In addition, there is a two-storey parking place underground. Approximately, the area of the whole building is 35,000 squared meters. To cooperation in competition we were invited by NOW Biuro Architektoniczne sp.z o.o.

The Mound Builders Museum-Memphis-Building Studio

The Mound Builders Museum, located in Memphis, sits on a 20-acre open lawn between two remaining mounds that were part of nine ceremonial and burial structures built around 1,000 AD and left behind by a once large community of late-Mississippian Indians. The site is now a public park just south of the central business district and a part of downtown. Atop the river bluff, the new Museum design is oriented in an east-west direction, overlooking the Mississippi river which takes a sharp westerly turn for about two miles before heading back south to the Gulf of Mexico.

"Our submission responded to the scale of ancient Egypt and the sublime. The scheme proposed to link a network of buildings within the sand dunes and cover the assemblage with an environmental skin to mediate the environment.
The skin moves as it responds to external conditions and is informedby the sun, wind, thermal loads, light levels and fresh air.
The Museum is a cluster of buildings under one roof where the circulation cores and internal network of lane and ramps maximise the complexity of circulatory options and programme adjacencies."Elenberg Frazer
