The existing site holds a derelict gas station at a critical
confluence of major East Austin roads. The proposal is about
“place-making” and revives the site with a “living and breathing” café. The café would be operated by the people of the adjacent neighborhood and fuses with the park to activate spaces for gathering and interaction.
