Fan-building for the Roppen Tunnel | Columbosnext

The on the west side of the Roppen tunnel ventilation shaft, this - in our approach about 30m high, to the west looking Cyclops - sees itself as a literal typological conclusion of the existing infrastructure alpine plants. The sculpture is the deconstructive transformed adding various features of the existing ventilation building. Carried out in steel and concrete, they also reminded of the materiality of their predecessors.
On the Ostportal Karres tunnel is a completely newly designed Archätyp, which is significantly different from the existing ventilation buildings stand out. He is beginning as our conception of Archätyp towards deconstructs additive package. The monolithic body is plump and lightweight executed beplankt and skin.
