Designing in Teheran is an international contest open to creatives, designers and architects, who are called upon to develop a design for two multistorey buildings, hereafter A and B, set in the Iranian city of Teheran.

The aim of the contest is to bring together ideas and identify solutions that will provide the best and most coherent integration of the structures in the local urban and commercial setting, with projects that take into account cultural and technical aspects, in order to enhance the buildings, making them recognisable, with a clear sense of identity. The spaces in question will be used for commercial premises and offices, and crucial in these designs will be the ability to convey the sense that these spaces are interpreted with contemporary sensitivity.

The Contest will select three designs for A and three for B, before going on to proclaim one winner for A and one for B-Benetton

Living Bridge,London,Uk | M2R Architecture

This project envisages London's Canary Wharf in the year 2030. The Business City will have grown by 100% and there is a desperate need for housing in the area.

By proposing a living bridge, we not just provide first class housing with individual water views, we also create a very important urban link between Greenwich Peninsula, Canary Wharf and Rotherhithe.

People can work, live and enjoy quality landscape in one place. There will be a good social mix of affordable housing, town houses and luxury penthouses with green roofs and roof gardens and hotels.
The bridge will have retail and restaurants on the main pedestrian level and a parking deck below.

The project is currently in consultation.

One object is flowing in the space with changing its functions.
Partition / Shelves / Counter / Bench / Blinder…

One object is flowing in the space with dividing different areas physically. and uniting them visually.
Working area / Meeting area / Information area /
Waiting area …

The deformed object diversifies inside perspectives with a movement of viewpoint. The diverse perspectives remind us experiences of walking fields or mountains.

Cedars Road

(For St Mungo's Association)

Cedars Road Annex is a "stepping stone" facility located to the rear of an existing homeless hostel in Clapham. It provides dayrooms, a kitchen, counselling rooms and studio flats all with south views across the beautiful lawned gardens.

The new building is an expressive sculptural form made from a single ribbon of structure which folds back on itself to create the floors and primary spaces.

“Gazing out from the front deck into the sunshine, and with a wild overgrown garden laid out before you – drugs or no drugs, there are probably few places you’d rather be.”Jan-Carlos Kucharek, The Riba Journal, August 2007.
